Want to Join Our Gallery?

We have a few openings for new artists.  If you are interested in displaying at our gallery, please use the button below to submit an application. 

🔸 Artwork Submission: You’ll need to submit up to 5 images of your work with your application. Preferred: photos of the specific pieces you want to display. Acceptable: images that represent the style and quality of your work.

🔸 Commission Schedule Options: You must select one of the following two options: Option 1: Member with Sitting Requirement. Be a member or join the Machias Arts Council for $25/year, commit to an average of 2 sittings per month at the gallery. Gallery commission: 25% on sold artwork. Option 2: Non-Member or Member without Sitting. No need to join or volunteer for gallery sittings. Gallery commission: 35% on sold artwork.

🔸 Display Details & Rotation: The gallery refreshes displays monthly. You can: Keep your artwork up for another month, or swap out pieces during the scheduled changeover. If accepted, you can submit up to 6 total pieces: 3 large and 3 small. We will attempt to display all of your artwork. However, depending on space some of your artwork may be held in reserve and installed as space becomes available.

🔸 Additional Sale Items (no limit): You may provide smaller works like: Note cards, Small Ceramics, Bin Art (e.g., backed prints), Coasters, Jewelry, etc. Must be either original works or reproductions of your own artwork. These are just examples, if you are unsure if the item qualifies for this category, please reach out to us.

🔸 Other Important Requirements: All artwork must be gallery quality. No inappropriate or political content permitted.

Once your application is reviewed, you will be notified of your acceptance status. If accepted, you will be invited to display during the next gallery changeover.
